This show is a testament to the consistent greatness of 1977 shows. In the grand scheme of things, it's merely an average show for the year...in that regard, there's some good stuff here...playin>other one is the highlight...playin' is a bit unhinged at first but by the jam they quickly get into the ether drift jam into a Jerry led Other One...as far as the Deal, it's one of the best ones of the late 70s, I don't recall alot of 77' versions, personally I prefer the way the tune developed in the 80s, check out 03-20-1981 for a version that will steal your face right off your head (you won't be disapointed, one of first big rip guitar codas)...http://www.archive.org/details/gd1981-03-20.sbd.gems.104938.flac24

Verrrrry nice. '81 was a great year for "Deal"--my favorite being not long after this show: 5/1/81 at Hampton.

Also loving the "Scarlet>Fire" from this London show, and didn;t realize there was a SBD available! For some reason I recall only an AUD that was iffy. Anyway, thanks for the pointer!

I didn't know about this board until recently myself, it's a relatively recent sbd addition...

the scarlet>fire definitely has it's moments, not sustained greatness ala' 10-10-1980 or 10-19-1981...the he's gone is nice...1981 is one of the great years for he's gone...05-06-1981 being king daddy...
